Hailing from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Philip David, who was born March 14th, is definitely one to keep an eye on in the coming years. Growing up, he had never thought of himself as an artistic designer.
The ball only started rolling in that direction when Phillips older brother started wearing a necklace that he and his girlfriend had designed. It was after this experience that Phillip started to study the craft of designing jewelry, though it was at this point only for his own personal use.
People soon began to stop him in public, only to ask him about the jewelry which he was wearing. It was at this time that he realized his potential, and where he could go with this particular talent he had developed. Soon, Phillip started to pawn his jewelry to these random passers-by.
In going to Africa, I had the opportunity to run into the remarkably talented designer. Being impressed with his work, I am promoting his products through a monthly showcase in the magazine.
